Terms of Use
Last updated: 21 July 2026 (beta). By creating an account or using NumenEdge you accept these terms.
1. Acceptance
These terms form an agreement between you and IRIS LIMITED (company number 17198931, registered in England and Wales), which operates NumenEdge. By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use NumenEdge. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or subscribe.
2. What NumenEdge is
NumenEdge is a financial-analytics and education platform offering market data, business-cycle and market-regime context, and descriptive analysis. It is not investment advice and does not provide recommendations, signals, or an offer or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security — see section 7 and our Disclaimer. NumenEdge may tailor which insights it surfaces to your portfolio and interests. That personalisation is a convenience for finding relevant context — it does not make anything on NumenEdge personal advice or a recommendation.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must provide accurate information and tell us promptly of any unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
4. Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans are billed monthly through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically each month until you cancel. Prices are shown inclusive of any applicable taxes. Card details are handled by Stripe — NumenEdge does not store your full card number. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period and is not pro-rated unless required by law. We may change prices on notice, effective from your next billing period. See Plans.
Your 14-day cancellation right. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital services for a refund. Because NumenEdge is supplied to you immediately on subscribing, by starting your plan you ask us to begin the service at once and acknowledge that your 14-day right to cancel is lost once the service has been fully performed; for any part not yet performed, your statutory rights are unaffected. This does not affect your right to cancel future renewals at any time.
5. Acceptable use
You may use NumenEdge for your own personal analysis. You may not scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-extract data; circumvent or probe rate limits, access controls, or security; use automated tools to pull data at volume; resell or redistribute the data; or share your account to multiply access. Usage is subject to fair-use rate limits that vary by plan. If we detect abuse we apply a graduated, logged response (warning, temporary block, then suspension); permanent bans are reviewed by a person, never decided by automation alone, and you may seek review of any restriction.
6. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NumenEdge is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that data is complete, accurate, error-free, or up to date; figures may be delayed, revised by the underlying provider, or contain gaps. We are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the platform or its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Data sources, derived values & dependencies
NumenEdge combines data from multiple independent providers — exchange and vendor price feeds, statistical agencies and central banks, and company fundamentals — and each provider has its own coverage, revision policy and publication calendar. Providers restate figures after first publication, and a series can be revised, delayed, discontinued or renamed without notice.
Coverage and depth vary by region. The data available for a market depends on what its providers publish and how far back their records go, and this is not uniform across the regions NumenEdge covers. Some indicators are available for every market with decades of history; others exist for only a few markets, or with too little history to be interpreted the same way everywhere. Where an indicator cannot be computed on a consistent basis for a market, we withhold it for that market rather than publish a figure that cannot be compared with the others — so an analysis may draw on fewer inputs in one region than in another.
Much of what the platform shows is not a provider’s number reproduced, but a value we compute from one. Returns, volatility, business-cycle phases, market-regime readings, factor scores and certain ratios are derived: they are the output of our own methodology applied to third-party inputs. Where a figure is derived, we label it as derived and record which inputs produced it. Two consequences follow, and we state them plainly rather than bury them:
- Derived values inherit the limits of their inputs. If an input is delayed, revised or wrong, the value computed from it moves with it. A figure being current does not mean every input behind it is.
- Our methodology is one reasonable choice among several. A different but equally defensible method would produce a different number. Where a method materially affects a reading we document it; you should not treat a derived figure as the only correct answer.
We take reasonable care over sourcing, computation and the controls that check both, and we correct errors we identify. We do not warrant that any figure — sourced or derived — is complete, accurate or current, and we are not responsible for a provider’s data or for changes to it.
You are responsible for how you use what the platform produces. Our outputs are intended as one input into your own analysis, alongside your own research, judgement and any professional advice you obtain. Verify anything you intend to rely on, and read this section together with section 8: describing how a figure is built does not make it a recommendation to act on it.
8. No investment advice
Nothing on NumenEdge is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or other financial instrument. We provide risk and market context and education, not guidance on what to buy, sell, or hold, how to allocate, or when to enter or exit. Any decision you make is yours alone and should reflect your own objectives, time horizon, liquidity needs, and risk tolerance. If you need advice tailored to your circumstances, consult an appropriately authorised financial adviser.
NumenEdge is not authorised or regulated as a financial adviser, broker, or investment manager, and does not carry on any regulated activity of that kind. Using NumenEdge creates no advisory, fiduciary, or agency relationship between you and us. Personalising which insights you see does not change this — it remains descriptive context, not a personal recommendation.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be notified. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
